The European Commission on the origin of China's stainless steel pipe products to make anti-dumping investigation final ruling, and decided to implement a five-year anti-dumping measures, anti-dumping tax rate of 30.7% -64.9%. Wang Hejun, director of the Trade Relief Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, made a speech on this issue.

Wang said that China has seriously questioned the methods and decisions of the European Commission ruling on high tax rates and highly concerned about the trade protectionism in the EU in the steel sector. The European Commission in the investigation ignores the active cooperation and submission of facts and reasonable defense opinions, continue to use unfair and unreasonable "alternative countries" approach, cut a high tax rate, seriously damaged the interests of Chinese enterprises. The Chinese government hopes that the EU will strictly abide by the relevant rules of the WTO, terminate the use of "alternative countries" approach, and fully protect the right of Chinese enterprises to defend. In view of the erroneous practices of the EU in violation of WTO rules, the Chinese side will take the necessary measures to safeguard the fair rights of enterprises.
Wang Hejun stressed that the global economic recovery is weak, the demand is shrinking the current iron and steel industry is facing the root causes of difficulties, countries should face together to win-win cooperation in a common way, the prudent use of trade remedies. Reckless trade protection measures will only have a further impact on the international trade order. China is willing to strengthen exchanges and communication with the EU, properly solve the current problems facing the steel industry.
